Two signs that all of next week off will probably do me a world of good:
#1. I made cupcakes last night because we're celebrating N's birthday today (it's actually on Sunday, but I digress). After I mixed the batter together I had enough sense to actually taste it, because if I hadn't, I wouldn't have discovered that I had completely forgotten to add the sugar. I would have brought the Worst Cupcakes Ever to work.
#2. I received a copy of the Emigre font catalog at work today. On the cover it says this:
THE QUICK BROWN
FOX JUMPS OVER THE
LAZY DOG AND OTHER
DARING IDEAS
When I read it, I thought it said this:
THE QUICK BROWN
FOX JUMPS OVER THE
LAZY DOG AND OTHER
DRINKING IDEAS
Clearly, I need a drink or a day off. I could probably use a few of each.
