Last Thursday, I mentioned to my Dad that on my way to his house, I had seen not one, but two dead deer on Summit Road. And he said something along the lines of, "Yeah, it's that season again." There's a season for deer jumping into oncoming traffic? I didn't think much about it after that.

Fast forward to a few hours later, and I'm driving home on Highway 17. I'm just past the reservoir, and I notice something coming down from the side of the road. Yes, it was a deer. And yes, it did prance in to oncoming traffic. I had to come to a complete stop to avoid hitting it. It then proceeded to run along infront of my car. So, for lack of something better to do, I pounded on the horn, which sent it back across traffic, and back to where it had come from. Miraculously, nobody hit it.

So yeah, I guess there is a season for THAT. And, my friends, it's in full swing.
