Do you have any idea what I WAS going to do last night? Of course you don't. That's why I'm going to tell you. I was going to come home from work, and maybe start a crochet project, or maybe get started on my Pay It Forward things, and perhaps watch Flight of the Conchords, or maybe start reading the new book club book.
By this point, you've probably guessed that I didn't do any of those things. All because while I was going through the list of possible things I COULD do, "add a background pattern to my website" popped into my head. Which sounds simple enough. Adding a pattern? How much change would that cause? MORE THAN YOU KNOW. Four hours later, my eyes were not only red, but watery AND twitchy (a delightful combination), and I still wasn't done. Stupid pixelated background pattern.
I did a little research today via the web, and tonight I finally managed to make things work the way I wanted. Which probably took ANOTHER 2 hours. Though I did watch some Flight of the Conchords WHILE I was wrasslin' with the CSS, and that made it much more enjoyable.
Thankfully, I'm done with the web site tweaking (for now). I'm even pretty darn happy with how it turned out! Yay, me! And now I know how to change that background pattern whenever I want, and it shouldn't take four hours. Woo!
"Shouldn't" being the key word...
