The One Where I've Had a Hard Time Typing Shamppo (See?)

Remember about a month ago when I asked for shampoo recommendations? Well, I read everyone's comments and then went and bought something that nobody recommended. I know, how rude.

I was at Whole Foods and happened to come across Jason Smoothing Shampoo. It was on sale, it said "smoothing" on the bottle and it smelled like grapefruit. I figured it couldn't be any worse than the stuff that I had been using, and I was right, it wasn't any worse. It also wasn't any better.

So I finally broke down and went to a Kiehl's store. I even asked someone for help! Gasp! I know! I mentioned that a friend had recommended the sunflower shampoo, but when I said I wanted something smoothing, the gal pointed me towards Kiehl's Superbly Smoothing Argan Shampoo. The bottle says it's for coarse, unruly hair. I can't tell you how many times I've described my hair as unruly. It was a sign! Okay, maybe not, but I decided to buy it anyways.

This shampoo, it is definitely smoothing. The top of my hair tends to be kind of poofy despite using anti-frizz shampoo, conditioner and smoothing milk. With the Kiehl's shampoo, so far there has been no poof. And really that's all it takes for me to be sold. I'm not totally fond of the smell yet (though it does remind me of something I ordered from Lush once), but the smoothing part is working so well, I'm willing to overlook the scent.

Also, have you ever been to an actual Kiehl's store? I was blown away by how many samples they gave me. And they're not piddly sized samples either. I know they probably give them to everyone, but it made me feel special and now I want to go back (I'm sure that's EXACTLY why they do it). Also, I'm kind of loving the facial moisturizer with SPF 15 sample they gave me, so I really do have a reason to return.
