Some good things about moving to Santa Cruz:
• On almost any given day, 10 degrees cooler than San Jose
• the beach
• driving by the ocean almost every day
• Santa Cruz Sock Shop (best shoe store, EVER)
• closer proximity to Miss A
• Mobo Sushi (best sushi, EVER)
• the boyfriend
Speaking of the boyfriend, he has returned safe and sound from kayaking. And after telling me about the trip (more dangerous and exhausting than predicted), he's not allowed to go kayaking anymore.
I'm going to be in Austin all next week, so things should be quieter than usual around here. The week after that, it's possible I'll have jury duty. And I move at the end of the month!

(Long time reader, first time poster. Hi!)
Lucky girl, living in Santa Cruz! My husband and I lived in SC a few years ago (lovely apartment on the corner of Broadway and Ocean View) and it was absolute heaven. I really miss Mobo and Taqueria Santa Cruz and the Tea House! You must go to the Tea House downtown, if you haven't yet. It's wonderful!
I still wonder why the heck we packed up and moved to Virginia. Hopefully we'll be able to move back in the near future. Congratulations to you on your upcoming move! And have fun in Austin. :)
gorgerous picture as always!
What!? Your boyfriend is no longer allowed to go kayaking! What is he going to do now? Man oh, man...poor fella.
Whitney- My favorite Laverne (or was I Laverne and you were Shirley). I am still reading your wonderful blog! Hey guess what... I am getting married and having a baby. Crazy stuff. But you are moving to Santa Cruz... that is crazy stuff too! Crazy how everything can change so much in a year!
Thanks, Kristen! I'm not looking forward to leaving the lovely California weather, but I predict I will have a good time anyways. :)
