March 14, 2006 | Should We Talk About the Weather?
The weather in Austin? Fantabulous. Apparently I missed last week's 90 degree heat wave. It is now a very comfortable 70 degrees and hardly any humidity. I'm wearing a skirt and sandals today AND IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY. Oh, and a t-shirt, too. I think the nice sunny skies are supposed to hold up almost all week, and then rain on Friday. I can so deal with this. I think it's the first time ever that I've really enjoyed the weather while I've been here.
On the SXSW front, there hasn't been much. And I'm okay with that. I'd much rather spend time with my friends than stand in line to get in to a crowded club. But, ya know, if someone wants to drag me along with them to an event, they wouldn't have to twist my arm...much.
Off enjoying Austin weather while we sit here and freeze with snow piled on our noses.
although, the photo is done well, the subject is sad, cause I know tulips don't want to be covered in snow. and global warming is a serious problem.
I gotta say I also enjoyed going out when I was younger, which is what we do, but I hate going to crowded clubs now. if I find myself in that atomsphere, I usually am thinking it's pretty lame, and remember very quickly why I don't do it anymore. and "you" have to pay a lot for that crappy time your having. ugh.
I just stumbled on your blog via a link from Gracie & the City's blog. I'm a local Bay area knitter amazed at the weather we're having (and I own a design firm in Los Gatos so I guess we have design in common too). Your photos are amazing!

Morrissey is supposed to play Thursday!!! I say supposed to because he's cancelled every other time he's been scheduled to play in Austin. Rogue Wave & Calla have some free day shows too if you want to come!
